First launched in 2012, Starwood Careers enrolment at Sheraton Maldives has been encouraging. To attract more associates from all levels and job functions to participate in Starwood Careers, the 2013 program was launched at the beginning of the year.
A total of 10 mid-management associates were presented with the Starwood Careers full pins and Certificates from Managing Director, Bipan Kapur at the Starwood Careers graduation ceremony held at our recent Town Hall Meeting. In the graduating class, 6 associates successfully completed the Assistant Manager track program while 4 completed the Manager Track program.
On 22 March, our hotel launched the 2013 Starwood Program with a simple but dignified opening ceremony. Before announcing the launch of the 2013 Starwood Program, our Complex General Manager Ivo gave a speech in which he congratulated the 2013 candidates.
At Starwood we believe that everyone has a unique personal story to tell about Starwood and their growth journey. In 2012, Starwood Greater China kick-started the “Starwood Careers - Growing with Starwood” National Associates Micro-Film Festival where every Greater China Starwood associate can participate and share their career growth and achievements in a film of their own creation. The premise is simple – that the film should embody the essence of “Starwood Careers -Growing with Starwood”.
